First visit to PIETY

no other words i shall say i think
but, 'Alhamdulillah..Alhamdulillah..Alhamdulillah..'

Yesterday, with His blessing, my friends and I were given the auspicious chance to visit the Plymouth Islamic Cultural Centre for the first time. Indeed, it's a relatively small building, but i think it is really meaningful building for the Muslim community in Plymouth.

Alhamdulillah, as we arrived there, we got the chance to taaruf with three wonderful Muslim sisters about our age.. they are from Solamia, Uganda and Pakistan. They are great, really friendly and love islamic knowledge. One of them shared with us what she knows about Malaysia from the novel of 'Julia' by Abu Hasan Morad. She got really excited when i told her that the author's son was in my school before, and promised to find chance to visit Malaysia one day to see the Muslims there. We feel great and pray for her that she would be there one day,insya-Allah..

Later on, Alhamdulillah, we joined them to hear the Muslimah weekly talk presented by the Imam of the masjid, a quite senior-looking man. Sadly, i forgot to ask his name as he just regard himself as 'brother'. But, Alhamdulillah, i really love to hear his word. He present to us bout 'Sincerity' in Islam. I love the way he explain about the topic as he used several authentic Hadeeth and Quranic Examples. Here, i would like to share some prominent points of his words that I think might be benificials to every Muslim/ahs as..

  • IKHLAS = TAUHID ILALLAH
  • SINCERITY = the MONOTheism of Allah
  • ILAH = the one we submit our love, our hope, our soul and our fear.
  • LAILAHAILLALLAH = There is no other that we submit our love, our hope and our fear but to Allah
  • SYIRK = the biggest sin ever and unforgivable
  • Never set a parther for Allah
  • Allah wants PURE worship as you want the honey to be pure
  • Sincerity never comes along with seek praises unless the water can be joint with the fire
  • RIYA' = MInor Syirk = Still SyIRK
  • Read Al-Kahf, 110 where Allah says, 'Say you, 'apparently (in facial outlook of a man), i am just like you, (but) recieved revelation that your 'ILAH' (God) is One ILAH (GOD). then, who-so-ever hopes to meet his LORD, he should do NOBLE deeds and NEVER associate (anyone) in the worship of HIS ONE and ONLY LORD.'
  • But, another points to be remembered is; 'Ahsan A'mali Akhlasuh wa Aswabuh' which means 'The best Action is the Pure and the Correct'
  • Correct = Follow the Sunnah = no additional = but parallel to Rasulullah SaW action
  • So, the best action in the eyes of Allah, must have to characteristic, 'PURE/IKHLAS' and 'CORRECT/SYARA'/Follow the SUNNAH'
  • the Angels will write down each of ur good action as good, cause they din know ur intention.. but at the end of the day.. ALLAH will JUDGE us accordingly, and never left though a bit...
  • A hadeeth which says (auqoulu qouli haza) that three people who will enter the Hellfire first, 'the Scholars', 'the Worriers/Mujahids' and 'the Rich people', when they think they do good action for the pleasure of ALLAH. but, in the end.. ALLAH reveals their true hidden intention which is to 'seek praises from others' which then bring them to the 'Hellfire'.. (nau'zubillahiminzalik)
  • So, Beware with Your good A'mal/Action; always make sure it's really PURE and CORRECT.. so that you'll never be punished for your own Good Actions.
wallahua'lam.

So, those among his words which really made me ponder myself.. Alhamdulillah, thank you Allah for HIs guidance and Blessing toward this tiny helpless servant of HIM.. and, insya-allah, i really look forward to next meeting..May Allah grant HIS limitless LOVE to each of the members of the PIETY.

Rindu seorang 'akak'

Digital Scrapbooking at WiddlyTinks.com

'Kak yam, kak yam tak ingat Ai'n ke?'

tiga kali si kecil ini menyatakan suara hatinya.. nadanya penuh ikhlas..seakan melepaskan geram..pada saya.. yang bersalah.. tak 'call' Ai'n lama...Subhanallah...kata-katanya membuatkan hati saya hiba dan sayu..cepat2 saya menjawab, 'Mana bleh akak lupe Ai'n... Akak selalu tengok video Ai'n nyanti 'Wonder Pet'.. A'in ingat tak?' diam ia.. kemudian membalas, 'Kak yam, Ain ada kak yam kat sini juga.. Bear kak yam' wa.. bertambah terharu hati saya.. bear yang saya belikan ketika perkelanaan saya di Dublin tahun lalu, masih begitu Ai'n hargainya..

Sepetang saya diam termanggu, teringatkan A'in di perlis. HIngga teman saya bertanya,'nape ni?' jawabku, 'rindu seorang 'akak'..'

Alhamdulillah..semenjak pertama kali bertemu, saat A'in masih 'baby'..

Adikku, Sakeenah..
Cahaya hati akak..
berkongsi satu darah
ibu kita Hawa dan ayah kita Adam..

Akak tak pinta
untuk kamu, kasih ini hadir
tapi

itu Hadiah Allah
untuk akak, dan untuk kamu..

Tiap Ceriamu menjadi ceriaku
Tiap Hibamu menjadi hibaku

Membuatkan akak rasa akak ini lebih akak
saat bertemu, dan bersama dengan kamu..

Adikku, Sakeenah..
Akak ingin kamu tahu..
Kasih akak pada kamu
Hanya kerana kasih akak pada Allah..
Akak mahu Cinta-Nya
dengan mengasihi kamu

kerana itu

jangan bimbang A'in,
kamu sentiasa dalam hati akak..
kerana akak mahu Allah
sentiasa sayang akak...

Salam sayang+rindu

Wallahua'lam.. harapan saya, semoga ada Rahmat Allah di sebalik kasih yang terjalin.. yang boleh membawa saya dan keluarga.. dan tentunya A'in dan keluarganya ke Syurga Allah swt di akhirat kelak...

Fresh note From Sis Yvonne Ridley

Salam @ Peace upon you, sis and bros..

HUhu.. Busy with the acedamic assignments make me a bit unaware bout the latest Muslims issue all around the world.. but, as i browsed my FB this morning, I was awakened by one my FB friend's status, sis Yvonne Ridley, the journalist who is a former Taliban captive and now is a Muslimah.. moreoever, when i met this note from a brother in Islam...

"We need more media coverage; everyone is still talking about obama's speech like a new holy revelation. Everyone please start advertising this on their facebook status feeds. Can someone copy/paste everything sis Yvonne just wrote and put it in a concise note and share it??"

i decided to post this matter in this blog...

Hopefully, it'll help us to be awake and aware on what's happening around the world.. especially onto our Muslim sisters and brothers..

Here is a fresh word from Sis Yvonne who is currently in Pakistan, May Allah Bless sis Yvonne, and whoever who work for the betterment of the world...

It is now 4am in Pakistan and I can not sleep. Every time I close my eyes I recount what I saw and heard today - the young and old, men women and children are in desperate need of our help in the camps, some of which are less than 4 kilometres from the fighting. I met one man who has 12 members of his family and he was given less than an hour to gather them all together and flee on foot.

In all the chaos his 70-year-old mother went missing and he is now beside himself with worry about what has happened to her. Another told me how his elderly father had a massive heart attack and died as they fled from Swat. And one old lady tried talking to me but she has lost her voice, her hearing and she kept hitting her forehead with the palm of her hand....I've seen this before in Afghanistan - she is clearly suffering from shell shock caused by being bombed. She was shaking and I just wrapped my arms around her to give her some comfort but she could not stop shaking. More than 150 babies have been born in the camps and there are thousands of women in various stages of pregnancy. Everyone had tales of woe, whether it was about the so-called Taliban or the aerial bombing and shelling.

The weather changed from being unbearably hot to a tropical storm with high winds, heavy rains followed by flooding. It is hard to imagine how miserable life is for these people. Many of them had comfortable lives, nice large homes and a good standard of living. This war has turned them from being homeowners into beggars overnight. Most of the people I spoke to don't even know if they have homes to return to. One family were attending a wedding party when the war began and they couldn't return home. The area was sealed off.
The media is being kept out....

Military action should have been a last resort and sadly it wasn't. Perhaps if the politicians had their homes in the swat Valley they might have thought twice before creating an exodus of three million people. Not one person said to me they were glad the military had taken action - especially the young boy whose leg was amputated and his sister lost her arm in the bombing.

Tomorrow evening I am going on PTV for a live appeal for funds to help one camp in particular that I visited. But if anyone reading this is a psychiatrist or counselor; please offer your services - people are suffering horrendous mental health problems. They are traumatised and providing a safe haven, food and water is not going to fix their state of minds. We need mental health experts out here as soon as possible. You can't put a sticking plaster on someone who is shell-shocked.

And the international community has been rubbish, as usual. Only one fifth of the aid promised from countries around the world has come in. This happened during the Pakistan Earthquake - lots of promises but no delivery. It looks like ordinary people around the world are going to have to come together yet again, because governments and politicians are useless.
