the Heathly Marriage by Nouman Ali Khan: my personal review

Salam wbt @ Peace to everyone..

Ahaa, it seems more than a week that I wrote nothing in this blog.. right? Does it matter to you, sis and bros? J (hihi.. a cruel question actually) Anyway, what always bear in my mind.. that does matter to some of my beautiful and sweet friends... and.. I really love them for keep helping me to maintain my writing momentum, mood and sincerity with all your inspirational words.. Insya-allah.. May ALLAH bless you always, sweethearts...

Anyway.. here.. again.. I would like to share a video... a talk actually... To be frank... it’s not because I have no idea to write here.. (like some people did put a video just for the sake of updating their blogs) Indeed, insya-allah... I have made long ago that.. one of my blogging principles is not to copy paste others’ works without any further comments or reflections or acknowledgement to the sources, so, insya-allah.. with HIS willingness.... I will always keep myself to that principle.

So, here you are.. a video of a talk by one of my favourite speaker Nouman Ali Khan, a muslim from USA.. I suggest, you enjoy listening to his first.. before further reading my post.. can you? nothing actually... just because I have lots of things to share based on his words in this video...

Here are the sharing of my personal review and reflection on this video...

  • How you should deal with the typical non-muslims’ questions

Well.. why I personally put as typical? Cause, it’s really really typical.. no matter where you are.. in Malaysia.. Or in Britain.. Or even in the USA... I believe in majority cases...the same questions are being posed to us, the Muslims... and, I agree as bro Nouman said, ‘why we should look as a criminal being asked to proof you’re innocent..? as we are Innocent.. we are Muslims!’, ‘why we should panic?’, ‘why we should bother to give them all the answers... as they just keep asking us one to another questions...?’ And, I love to say that I totally agree.. instead of we made ourselves answering the questions.. why not we pose them back??

So, here, I would like to share with you the experiences of some of us.. living in Plymouth, dealing those questions.. mostly from the school students and teachers..in primary or secondary schools.. or some from the cleaning colleagues.. Whenever people asked us, ‘why are you wearing the scarf?’ or ‘why do you need to cover yourself?’.. Instead we keep trying to answer it.. we did try to pose them back questions.. without answering theirs immediately.. like for example.. ‘Have you ever seen what the Virgin Mary wore during her life?’ ‘and, why do you think she did so?’ Ahaa.. guess what their response will be? Well, most of the cases... We’ve seen, how stumble they are... struggling to answer the questions... and often, they just say.. ‘oh, it’s okay..’ and ran away.. So, sometimes.. for me, I really think.. it’s not necessarily we try to answer their typical questions... Instead.. help them to think... what they should’ve been thinking... (by questioning them) isn’t it? *winks* wallahua’lam..

  • Hopes that being placed to other than ALLAH swt WILL absolutely, necessarily make you disappointed.

This word is really really applicable reminder to us in anywhere and in anytime. This is actually, the catchiest word I found from whole lots of his talk actually.

Let me share you a story. There was a lady, a good muslim lady. She had no boyfriend, and just wanting to have a ‘halal’ boyfriend which was a good muslim husband. In her mind, ‘it’s okay for me not to have a boyfriend now, because to have a husband in future is much more better.’ In her mind, marriage is all about love and happiness. Never like coupling, full of frustrations and headaches.

Then, Alhamdulillah, she got married to a good Muslim guy. Yea, he’s a good one... but, you know.. no one perfect.. so, this man could not really spend so much time with his wife because of his other obligations.. especially to his work, community and etc.. Although he did spend his time.. but not so much time.. as what the wife expected. So, this Muslim lady became frustrated.. and all her frustrations, then, lead to arguments.. and worse to worst, the arguments leads to separations and also divorce.. (Nauzubillah)..

So.. what a sad story happens in Muslims community we had.. although it’s not totally real one.. but, similar story does happen often.. in anywhere and every where... every day.. and I face it often.. very often..

Well, so, what should we say here? The beginning of this lady’s life had sounded right... isn’t it? Yea.. She’d chosen not to experience the love before marriage.. and.. hoping that her husband is the one who would bring her happiness and love..

Oh, wait.. that’s not really right, wasn’t it? if we think back deeply... there was something wrong there...

Back to my head point where I quoted from bro Nuoman, ‘Hopes that being placed to other than ALLAH swt WILL absolutely, necessarily make you disappointed. ‘ So, here... this lady had accidently put her hope to other than ALLAH swt (Nauzubillah).. which is to her future husband.. she was hoping that through her husband, she’ll find the true love and happiness... so.. it’s not a surprise for her to be frustrated by her hope... cause.. that’s not uncommon.. to be frustrated when we put our hope to other that ALLAH to give us the two most beautiful elements in our life; ‘love’ and ‘happiness’. Instead, ONLY ALLAH who would never left us with disappointment...

So.. especially to myself, let us put our FULL HOPE and TRUST ONLY to ALLAH Swt.. in everything in anything we do, we expect or we longed for.. Insya-allah, although we might or might not get what we want.. but STILL.. ALLAH would NEVER frustrates us.. Insya-allah...

  • ‘Marriage is not similar like ‘dating’!’

I love when he said, ‘marriage is not similar like ‘dating’!’ though I have never been experiencing dating.. (Alhamdulillah, and nauzubillah..) but I’ve seen how vulnerable the dating is for most of the people here.. in Britain is.. It is really really common to find a family contains unmarried couples where they call themselves as ‘civil partners’ who have kids with different surnames as they’ve been mingled with different partners or x-spouses before they got settle down with this latest one... Oh, my.. what a complicated life they had...!

So, as a muslim... so as you... I think.. once we say or think of about marriage.. please.. we are saying about a life-long-lasting relationship.. we are not saying the same thing as they non-believers said... the need of the understanding of the reasons for marriage must be really really CLEAR..

Marriage is not the ultimate solution if there is no understanding and practice of TAQWA @ Fear God

  • Our Deen first and foremost is about our responsibilities to full fill our obligations to SERVE ALLAH swt, not ourselves!

Not so much words I can say here.. but absolutely, I love this word. It’s such an honour for the Muslimahs.. cause he seems trying to make everyone realize.. especially the men, not to use the verses of the LORD for themselves, meanwhile their other obligations were not even completed yet!

Subhanallah.. how FAIR and EQUAL ALLAH is! I Luv Allah, and I Luv Islam!

  • Follow the sunnah.. insya-allah, there will be the barakah within your marriage life..

Anyway, I’m not married yet. But, his word about a simple sunnah (smiling wife) really made me ponder.. how even such a simple or little thing that sometimes we overlooked on it.. when is has been mentioned by the Messenger of ALLAH, it shows how big the effect brought by it.. Subhanallah.. What more other lots of sunnahs of him...? Wouldn’t it be more barakah in our life if we get to make ourselves used to most of his Sunnahs? Masya-allah..

Let’s follow the sunnah of HIS messenger in order to gain HIS PLEASURE...!

wallahua'lam...

Okay.. I think, that's all.. insya-allah.. for this time...quite long this post, isn't it..?

Anyway.. hope both of us will get something from this sharing...

Wassalam.

Open Your Eyes, Hearts and Minds

Tears dropped from my eyes when I watched this video. So, I want to share it with all my beloved readers. May be, You've come across it, but.. come on.. why not watch it again?

Let's ponder on bro Ruben Abu Bakr's experience being educate or 'tarbiyah' by Allah on HIS LIMITLESS GREATNESS.

It is funny.. I mean.. how he could think of that.. to ask ALLAH for HIS MAGIC.. but.. If we remembered the story of our beloved Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon him).. He did ask ALLAH, the same thing as well.. didn't he? And.. Allah had shown him HIS POWERFUL MAGIC through the re-alive birds..

Subhanallah...Allah could do anything.. HE HAS LIMITLESS POWER..

Just us...

who always blind...and deaf.. and also DUMB...

NOw.. Let's open our EYES, our Hearts and our MInds..!

May Allah helps us not to be like the people in this ayah;

"Indeed, We have created for HELL many Ginns and Men; they have hearts, but understand not therewith and the eyes, they see not therewith and the ears, they hear not therewith. They are just like cattle; Nay, more misguided. They are indeed lying heedless."
(7: 179)

this is another video with the same song.. but more beautiful sigth seeing of HIS LIMITLESS POWER..

Are you ready for Ramadhan?

Remember;
  • Ramadhan is just like our second chance to get the best merit in the eyes of ALLAH, after Eleven neglected and mistreated months. How much our anxiety will we have to face it? Should we prepare our best for this auspicious chance?
  • Ramadhan is just like a special guest that we longed his visit so much. He has left us for eleven months, but will arrive soon to visit us. How much our excitement is? What should we prepare for his visit?
So, let's ponder... let's prepare...

Here is an interesting and meaningful khutbah for us to listen and ponder...

Hope you'll get something from it as I did!

Welcome you, O Ramadhan..!

Salam/peace to everyone…

Today is 21th of Sya’ban, which means Ramadhan is really near to us! 9 days to go for the most blissful month. Alhamdulillah/All praise be to ALLAH..

Just a quick check, what’s our feeling right now? Excited? Anxious? Nervous?

Well, what’s mine?

To be honest, this Ramadhan is the most nervous Ramadhan I ever had to be welcomed. Often, I am in doubt whether I am able/ chosen to be apart of the Guess of this blissful and special month or not. Perhaps, it is because this year is the most sorrow year I ever had. About few months I came to England, I have been informed few shocking death news which occurred all around my close one in Malaysia. When I think about them, what comes into my mind is ‘there’s no more ramadhan for them..’ which was my mom’s word during my dad’s funeral on the last 18th Rejab 1425H.

Really, that words makes my heart flusters. I keep asking myself; will I have Ramadhan then? Will the last ramadhan is my last ramadhan then? And ends up by praying to HIM; Oh Allah, grant me YOUR MERCY.. allow me to enter Your Ramadhan again… Really, deep inside me.. I am fear of being called to return to ALLAH before I could ask HIS FORGIVENESS all along this coming RAMADHAN.

How about yours, brothers and sisters? What do you feel? Are you ready for Ramadhan this year?

Anyway, I would like to share here few hadeeths regarding RAMADHAN MUBARAK. May this will help us to raise and increase our mood to welcome the most blissful month in ISLAM.

It is related by Abu Hurairah (RAA) that the Apostle of God (sallallaho alaihi wa sallam) said “When the month of Ramadhan comes, the Gates of Heaven are thrown open and the Gates of Hell are shut, and the devils are put behind bars” In another report, the “Gates of Mercy” are mentioned in place of the “Gates of Heaven”. [Bukhari and Muslim]

“When the first night of the month of Ramadhan (comes), the devil’s and defiant Jinn are bound in chains and all the Gates of Hell are closed and non of them remains open and all the Gates of Heaven are thrown open and none of them remains closed and the heavenly herald announces, “O seeker of goodness and virtue! come forward; and O lover of wickedness and evil-doing! Halt, and do not come forward” and a large number of (sinning) bondsmen are released from Hell at the command of God (i.e., decision of forgiveness and deliverance is taken for them), and all this takes place on every night of Ramadhan.” [Tirmizi and Ibn-i-Maja]

Jibreel came to me and said, ‘Whoever reaches the month of Ramadan and does not have his sins forgiven and so enters the Fire, then may Allah distance him, say ameen.” So I said “Ameen” [Mustadrak al-Haakim]

Whoever fast in Ramadhan with firm belief and hope for (Allah's) reward, his past sins will be forgiven. [Al-Bukhari]

Here is a nasyeed for us as well.

We never sure when is the last Ramadhan for us to go.. Let's keep praying for this upcoming one..

“O Allah, make the months of Rajab and Sha’ban blessed for us, and let us reach the month of Ramadhan.” [Musnad-e-Ahmed]

'Oh ALLAH, i need YOUR HELP..!'

Salam everyone..

Here is an interesting nasyeed video clip.. I weep once i listen to this song.. the lyric is so beautiful... it touches my heart deeply.. Hope everyone would love it as well..!

Semoga setiap kita beroleh manfaat bersama.

Bersama ini, suka saya petik kata-kata guru yang saya hormati, Abu Umar yang berbunyi;

Tersentuh saya dengan kata-kata ini;

Wallahua'lam.

'Ammar pergi dalam perjalanan kembali dari menguruskan urusan hal demi kebaikan sahabat seperjuangannya di mesir'

'Ammar pergi ketika beliau bergelar musafir ilmu'

'Ramai ikhwh (saudara) yg tgk mengatakan arwah seolah2 tersenyum dan ketika pulang sempat mengucp kalimah syahadah..subhanallah..moga ruh beliau dicucuri rahmat..'

Pantas, air mata saya mengalir bukan lagi kerana pahitnya kehilangan. Namun terbit rasa cemburu pula pada beliau; lantaran mengenangkan.. telah selesai perjuangan beliau di dunia.. dalam usaha menjadi Mujahid Islam, Musafir Ilmu yang diredhai Allah. Apalagi saat mengetahui, kalimah yang beliau benar-benar pegangi dalam hidupnya ialah;

Akhir kalam, besar harapan saya sebagai saudara seperjuangan, apalagi keluarga beliau untuk setiap kita di mana saja, mengambil iktibar dari pemergian Allahyarham Ammar ini.. Seperi petikan kalam Timbalan mudir Matri ketika hari pengkebumian Ummi Halimaton;

'Panjang atau pendeknya umur hidup seseorang itu bukanlah menjadi ukuran, yang penting ialah isinya.. isi hidup atau umur itu ialah Iman dan TAQWA kpada ALLAH swt yang membuahkan amalan-amalan yang soleh yang akan mengiringi jenazah seseorang di kubur dan kekal menemaninya ke alam barzakh dan di akhirat kelak..'

Rindu seorang 'akak'

Digital Scrapbooking at WiddlyTinks.com

'Kak yam, kak yam tak ingat Ai'n ke?'

tiga kali si kecil ini menyatakan suara hatinya.. nadanya penuh ikhlas..seakan melepaskan geram..pada saya.. yang bersalah.. tak 'call' Ai'n lama...Subhanallah...kata-katanya membuatkan hati saya hiba dan sayu..cepat2 saya menjawab, 'Mana bleh akak lupe Ai'n... Akak selalu tengok video Ai'n nyanti 'Wonder Pet'.. A'in ingat tak?' diam ia.. kemudian membalas, 'Kak yam, Ain ada kak yam kat sini juga.. Bear kak yam' wa.. bertambah terharu hati saya.. bear yang saya belikan ketika perkelanaan saya di Dublin tahun lalu, masih begitu Ai'n hargainya..

Sepetang saya diam termanggu, teringatkan A'in di perlis. HIngga teman saya bertanya,'nape ni?' jawabku, 'rindu seorang 'akak'..'

Alhamdulillah..semenjak pertama kali bertemu, saat A'in masih 'baby'..

Adikku, Sakeenah..
Cahaya hati akak..
berkongsi satu darah
ibu kita Hawa dan ayah kita Adam..

Akak tak pinta
untuk kamu, kasih ini hadir
tapi

itu Hadiah Allah
untuk akak, dan untuk kamu..

Tiap Ceriamu menjadi ceriaku
Tiap Hibamu menjadi hibaku

Membuatkan akak rasa akak ini lebih akak
saat bertemu, dan bersama dengan kamu..

Adikku, Sakeenah..
Akak ingin kamu tahu..
Kasih akak pada kamu
Hanya kerana kasih akak pada Allah..
Akak mahu Cinta-Nya
dengan mengasihi kamu

kerana itu

jangan bimbang A'in,
kamu sentiasa dalam hati akak..
kerana akak mahu Allah
sentiasa sayang akak...

Salam sayang+rindu

Thing that interested me is how this Young Lady able to leave the Jahiliyah Life entirely after embrace Islam..

How bout us?

We are fortunate to be born in Islam.. but, have we decided to LEAVE the Jahiliyah Life entirely and SUBMIT ourselves merely to the ISLAM?

Let's think about it...

Let's Reflect!

Salam ukhuwwah wa mahabbah for every Muslims bros and sis.

May each of us is always in Allah's love and guidance.
Well, i believe most of us are in a very hustled condition; Studyingwe are having the final examination; some may be have the exam just around the corner; or some people like me and my TESL friends are having the written assignments and protfolio with a very upcoming submission due date.
Nerd
In my place, I can see everyone is not in a good mood to talk, to smile and what more to hang out... Stressfull faces, mumbling and grumbling words every where.. I admit... more or less, I have the same feeling.. there are alot more that i need to finish up.. However.. there is something that trigger my mind to not letting myself feeling as such... Thus, i want to share it here..

I beg everyone, including me to take some times to sit and reflect...

  • While we are struggling with a few papers...
  • What our Brother and Sisters in Palestine right now are struggling with? What are the children right there dealing with right now? Aren't they are facing a MUCH BIGGER examination or TEST compared to us...?
  • We deals with papers..
  • They are dealing with STONES..BLOODs and BOMBs...
  • We are mourning for our wrong answers in the test... grumbling for our misunderstanding towards the assignment requirements.
  • But, Do you know what were their answers when they were asked about their hardship? Did they mourn? Did they grumble?
  • The answer is, They DIDn'T..! Though we might see they are sad from their faces...
  • Yet, via the TV, i witness myself one of the children said, "Hasbunallaha Ni'mal Wakeel!" [Allah is enought to be our protector/guard] when they are interviewed.
  • and another one said, "Ya Yahood! We are not corward to face you! We are the worriors of ALLAH.. We always happy to struggle for His JANNAH...!"
  • An Humanitarian Worker who visited Gaza has shared his expereince in a Malaysian newspaper, "I was surprised. I expected to see people begging for help and sympathy.. But, I see none of it.. What I witness is the peaceful SPIRIT, the limitless COURAGE and the outstanding BRAVERY."
Subhanallah, can u imagine...? Such BIGGER test makes them feels no stressful.. and Yet, they're PROUD and HAPPY... though they are playing with Bloods and Bombs.

How much ashamed and sheepish we are.... aren't We? Grumbling and Mourning merely for a very tiny matter compared to theirs...

You know why are they like that? BECAUSE they are CLEAR on their VISION and MISSION.. who they are.. why they are there.. and WHAT they'll achieve from their Struggle and FIGHT...

So, Are we CLEAR on Our VISION and MISION?

Subhannallah.. LET'S REFLECT... LET'S MAKE a CHANGE.. LET's STRUGGLE FOR HIS JANNAH..!

Kau Istimewa (Video Show)
